When you look up your electorate, the address, suburb, or postcode you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service to turn it into coordinates. MyMP works out which federal division those coordinates fall in, and then discards them.

If you have an account, MyMP stores the resulting electorate and a suburb-level label (for example "Brunswick VIC 3056"). It does not store your street address.

If you create an account, MyMP stores your email address, the representatives you follow, your subscription status, and — if you use MyMP+ features — the questions you ask about bills and any policy positions you record.

If you enable vote alerts, a push token for your device is stored and shared with OneSignal, which delivers the notifications. It is not linked to anything beyond your MyMP account.

Bill summaries and the "Ask this bill" feature send the bill's public text — and, for questions you ask, your question — to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Don't put personal information into those questions.

Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe and in-app subscriptions by Apple or Google via RevenueCat. MyMP never sees or stores your card details.

MyMP does not sell your data, does not share it with political parties or campaigns, and does not build advertising profiles from your electorate or the representatives you follow. Ads shown to non-subscribers are standard web display ads and are not targeted using anything MyMP knows about you.

You can delete your account from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, followed representatives, saved electorates, policy positions, and bill conversations.
